Appointment Policy:

You can either call us for an appointment at (941) 625-0742, or schedule it on-line through Pet Portals. We always try to meet our appointment times but there is always the possibility of an emergency and we may ask you to wait until the life threating patient is stable.

We do allow walk-ins, and will tell you if there will be a wait time. Our scheduled appointments will come first unless there is an emergency and then the patients will be treated in order of severity.

Pre-surgical Policy:
We will be in contact with each patient prior to surgery to discuss the protocol for admissions. Standard admissions are usually done between 7:30a.m. and 8:00a.m. Please allow enough time for us to review your pet's healthcare plan, discuss the procedure, sign the consent forms and make sure that we have all the correct information needed to contact you with an update. We at The Animal Clinic believe in the importance of client communication and would like to have that time in the morning to be available to answer any of your questions.


First Time Clients:
We welcome all new patients to our hospital and we are very pleased to have you as a client. We will do everything we can to serve you and your pet.

To make your first visit a pleasant experience, here are some tips to assist you.

  •     Call for an appointment
  •     Arrive 10 minutes early, this will give our staff time to verify your information in the computer.
  •     If possible, fill out the Patient/Client information sheet in advance. You can either bring it with you at the time of your appointment or fax it back to us at (941) 625-6068.
  •     If your pet has received medical care at another hospital, please have the previous veterinarian fax a copy of his or her medical records to (941) 625-6068 so that we may review them in advance.
